"Jarrow is a self-taught, self-produced, multi-instrumentalist 22-year-old wunderkind from Footscray, and he has been creating quite the stir. Dan Oke (the mastermind behind Jarrow) spent the last few years delving into music by artists like Ariel Pink, Mac Demarco, The Shins, Ty Segall, Darwin Deez and The Strokes – but it’s the bands in his relatively unheralded western suburbs community who provide Dan with his biggest inspiration. Jarrow released his debut album‘2003 Dream’ last year, and since then it was long-listed for The Amp (Australian Music Prize) and the band have played numerous shows and festival slots such as Boogie Festival and Splendour in the Grass. 2003 Dream was a sophisticated, hilarious and masterfully produced debut record which signalled to the world that Jarrow was a musician of extraordinary potential. Jarrow’s second album will be released early 2018 via Barely Dressed Records."
